    The New Confection factory put into service.

    The new modernized confection factory with increased capacity was put into service.

  • Technological machinery investments were accelerated within the framework of the modernization of the Spinning and Weaving Factories

    Menderes Tekstil accelerated its technological machinery investments within the framework of the modernization of the Spinning and Weaving Factories after the year 2000. With the investment planned to be completed in the year 2001, 45.000 kg/day spinning and 255.000 meters/day dyeing capacities were targeted.

    Cogeneration investments were made to meet the Energy and Steam requirements.

    In 1999, Menderes Tekstil made cogeneration investments to meet the Energy and Steam requirements. Export continued to grow and reached 60.000.000 dollars in 1999 with the effect of the new investments made.

  • Treatment Plant and water assessment investments were increased.

    Treatment Plant and water assessment investments were increased. Finishing investment for knitting was completed with a cost around 3.850.000 dollars. Within the same year, 7.500.000 dollars were invested in water treatment, water assessment and cogeneration.

    Investment of 18.000.000 dollars was completed and production was commenced.

    Investment of approximately 18.000.000 dollars intended to prevent the investment made in spinning and weaving plants from creating a capacity gap in dyeing and printing departments was completed in 1997 and the production followed.

  • Menderes Tekstil continued growing.

    Menderes Tekstil carried on its investments in Spinning, Weaving, Knitting, Finishing and Confection factories.

    Investment in interfacing, collar lining and top fuse production was completed together with spinning-weaving investment within 1995.

    In this process, the investment made to produce garment interfacing, collar lining and top fuse products whose demand were generally met by the imported products and investment made in the spinning-weaving plants were completed in 1995.

  • With 21.100.000 dollars amount of export, it demonstrated increasing success in growth during the crisis.

    The export ventures started at the beginning of the 1990’s gained great success within a short time. Menderes Tekstil demonstrated a great success in growth during the crisis by realizing 21.100.000 dollars of export despite all the problems caused by 1994 economic crisis.

    It started exporting to make use of the potential in foreign markets.

    Menderes Tekstil which had carried on contract dyeing and printing operations fully intended for the domestic market until 1993 started exporting to make use of the potential in foreign home textile (linen, bedding) markets. 

  • It started Finishing Plant investments.

    It started production in 1991 by making a dyeing-printing investment equipped with state-of-the-art technology totaling 15.000.000 dollars - of which the imported machinery is worth of 13.000.000 dollars - in an indoor space of 12.000 m2 within the factory area in 1990 with the increased dyeing and printing process capacity requirements. It also started Finishing Plant investments within the same year.

    It became part of the Menderes Tekstil structure founded by Osman Akça.

    Targeted to grow with higher investments, the plant which had contributed to the country’s economy for many years became part of the Menderes Tekstil structure founded by Osman Akça in 1983. 

  • The first integrated textile plant.

    As one of the first integrated plants of the region, Menderes Tekstil started to be built in 1958 within the borders of Sarayköy district of the province of Denizli under the name of Sarayköy Pamuklu Mensucat. The plant which comprised spinning, weaving and dyeing-finishing departments and is the first integrated textile factory of the region was put into service in 1962.
